“What does it take to become a success?”
Nothing. It’s impossible.
Or at the very least, it’s the wrong way to phrase the question.
Do successes make you successful? Is there a certain number of successes you need to earn the label?
And if so, then doesn’t that mean failures (or a certain number of failures) makes you a failure?
Success and failure are labels that can only accurately be applied to specific outcomes. And one isn’t better than the other.
If you’re not failing frequently, you’re not pushing yourself hard enough. The game you’re playing is too easy.
If you never succeed, you’re going to quit. And you should. You’re not built for that game.
But if your successes are impressive, and you learn from your failures, you’re playing the right game.
And that’s something to strive for.
Find your game. Play it well.
